Fishers Wins Pitchers Duel Over Logansport

Both teams were strong in the circle on Saturday, but Fishers Varsity Tigers defeated Logansport Varsity Berries 3-2. Kate Murray started the game for Fishers Varsity Tigers and recorded 21 outs. Kate Murray struck out 10 batters on the day. The hurler also surrendered five hits and two runs over seven innings while walking one. Logansport Varsity Berries were the first to get on the board in the first when Adrienne Scott singled, scoring one run. A home run to center field by Adrianne Cook gave Fishers Varsity Tigers the lead, 2-1, in the top of the fourth. Gracie Risley took the loss for Logansport Varsity Berries. The starter went five innings, surrendering three runs on eight hits, striking out six and walking one. Fishers Varsity Tigers collected 10 hits in the game. Adrianne Cook drove the middle of the lineup, leading Fishers Varsity Tigers with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Anna McGrath went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Fishers Varsity Tigers in hits. Hailey Kinder and Kendall Jordan each collected multiple hits for Fishers Varsity Tigers. Fishers Varsity Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kennedy Shockley had the most chances in the field with 10. Adrienne Scott and Natalee Packard were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Logansport Varsity Berries. Adrienne Scott and Bella Nicoles each collected two hits for Logansport Varsity Berries. Logansport Varsity Berries were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Bella Nicoles made the most plays with nine. McGrath 3-3, Kinder 2-4 2B, Jordan 2-4, Cook 1-3 HR 2 RBI. Clayton 1-3, Murray 1-4 2B RBI.
