Fishers High School

The Fishers Tigers JV1 Red team (2-1/1-1) came alive at the plate en route to a 12-1 victory in 5 innings over the Zionsville Eagles to start their Friday night doubleheader. The Tigers collected 10 hits for the game and a big 7-run 2nd inning gave the Tigers the lead for good. After two walks to start the 2nd inning, Carlos Altuve grounded out for the 2nd out of the inning, but it moved the runners to 2nd and 3rd. Fishers then exploded with 5 hits including singles from Vinny Pecoraro and Sean Frey and doubles from Connor Hackworth, Andrew Baldini, and Blake Wilson. The Tigers would add 4 more runs in the 3rd and a run in the 4th to build the lead. Jerry Jaramillo was great on the mound as he went 4 innings while only allowing 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 8 Eagles. Caleb Compton pitched a scoreless 5th inning including getting out of a bases loaded jam to finish the game early.
