JV2 Baseball Defeats Pendleton 5-3 in Game 1

Fishers Tigers JV Silver (3-0) won Game 1 of a Double Header against Pendleton Heights 5-3. The Tigers won a hard fought game in which they only tallied 2 hits despite hitting the ball hard all day. Preston Tidwell got the start for the Tigers throwing well on the day. Tidwell was solid through 3 innings of work not giving up a hit. After an error on a hard hit ball and 2 singles Eli Poisel came into the game with the bases loaded to pitch. A passed ball gave Pendleton Heights a run to make it 3-1 but Poisel got a fly ball and 2 strikeouts to get out of the inning. The Tigers took the lead in the second inning after Chase LoGreco singles and steals both 2nd and 3rd. Max Bishton hit a RBI single into center to score LoGreco. Errors in the 3rd helped the Tigers score 2 more runs to take the 3-0 lead. Kellen Miller came in to throw a scoreless 6th giving up 0 runs on 1 hit adding a strikeout. Drew Spicer closed the game out with the Tigers holding a 5-2 lead in the 7th. After getting the first 2 batters out in the 7th a walk and a double got runners in scoring position for Pendleton Heights. A wild pitch scored one to make the game 5-3 but Spicer struck out the last batter to finish the game. Chase LoGreco was 1-3 on the day with 2 stolen bases. Max Bishton was also 1-3 with a RBI and stolen base. Cullen Wolf despite going 0-2 provided the Tigers a RBI on a sacrifice fly.
