Fishers Tigers JV Silver (2-0) complete the sweep of Zionsville winning 6-2. The Tigers win off a great pitching performance by Cooper Yeakle in his first start of the season for the Tigers. Yeakle threw 6 innings against the Eagles on Friday where he tallied 9 strikeouts. Yeakle had Zionsville on their heels all day at the plate despite struggling with his off speed he was able to use his fastball to keep them at bay. Zionsville did not get a hit until the 4th inning off Yeakle who was throwing strikes all day. In the top of the 2nd Taylor Meaux singled to get a runner on. Downey-Underwood moved him over and Isaac Fernandez hit a hard ground ball that eventually scores Meaux on an error. The Tigers added another run in the second off a single by Kellan Ferguson who stole 2nd and advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch. Hayden Dowell has a RBI ground out to score Ferguson. Scoring one in the 4th, two in the 5th, and another in the 6th the Tigers took a 6-0 lead. Hayden Dowell came in the close the game in the 7th allowing 1 unearned run on 1 hit and a strikeout to end the game. Kellan Ferguson was 2-3 on the day with a RBI and 2 stolen bases. Taylor Meaux went 2-3 on the day scoring 2 runs. Downey-Underwood, Spicer, and Pinchouck all added hits on the day.
