Fishers Can't Keep Up With Daviess County In Loss

Fishers Varsity Tigers couldn't keep up with Daviess County Varsity Panthers and fell 11-0 on Saturday. A tag up by Sadie Morris put Daviess County Varsity Panthers on the board in the bottom of the first. Daviess County Varsity Panthers added one run in the second after Sophia Cain doubled to center field. Daviess County Varsity Panthers added one run in the third after Molly Hancock singled to center field. Daviess County Varsity Panthers scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Annie Newman homered to center field, scoring three runs, and Kylie Clark singled, scoring two runs. Sophia Cain earned the win for Daviess County Varsity Panthers. The righty allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out five and walking one. Kate Murray took the loss for Fishers Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking two. Cate Summerfield and Brooke Clayton each collected one hit for Fishers Varsity Tigers.
