Freshman Football defeated by HSE

The freshman team lost to the HSE Royals, 31-6. The offense got out to an early start, establishing their physical running game with quick passes. Sam Hawkins Jr. carried the ball with physicality and determination while both Kellen Miller and Luke Nierdrach worked to establish the passing game at QB. The Tigers took an early lead but penalties and turnovers limited the production throughout the game. Graham Stout was 0/1 on PATs and helped control the field position with solid punts. The defense played a tough game, holding the Royal offense to just one touchdown in the first half. Defensive backs Jackson Reed and Rocky Duplessis recovered two turnovers in the first half to set the offense up with great field position. Maleek Daouda stuffed the middle of the field while Cullen Wolf patrolled at outsaid linebacker. Shoutout to linebacker Cam Wise, lineman JT Tyler, and DB Tommy McDermott for stepping into new positions this week on defense and playing with confidence and intensity. Similar to last week, several players were called to play both sides of the ball due to injuries. Congrats to Carden Stevenson, Drew Spicer, Kellen Miller, and Keegan Gates for selflessly stepping in when their number was called. They truly displayed discipline, accountability, and toughness when we needed them the most. Captains: Cullen Wolf, Carden Stevenson, Kellen Miller, Sam Hawkins Jr. Offensive MVP: Sam Hawkins Jr. Defensive MVP: Jackson Reed
