The Fishers Freshman won a thriller on Saturday, 21-17. Offensive miscues and limited time of possession gave the Tigers minimal opportunities to establish a rhythm in the first half. Despite the adversity, the offense refused to quit. Quarterback Kellen Miller got the Tigers on the board with a touchdown pass to Drew Spicer. An 85-yard touchdown run from running back Sam Hawkins Jr. brought the Tigers back to life and his hard-nosed running game helped set up the go-ahead touchdown pass from Luke Niedrach to Chase LoGreco. Kicker Graham Stout was 3/3 on PATs. The defense stepped up in a big way against Noblesville’s unique offensive game. Defensive linemen Charlie Dagon and Carter Fraley helped secure the line of scrimmage while linebackers Cullen Wolf and Hunter Donoho dominated every play. Defensive backs Eli Poisel and Rocky Duplessis helped secure the edges and prevented big plays. Several offensive players were called in to assist against the Millers’ running attack. Keagan Lett, Jaiden Wu, and Carden Stevenson stayed busy on the line. Skill players Drew Spicer and Sam Hawkins Jr. stepped into the linebacker position when they were not carrying the ball on the for the Tigers. The Tigers move to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in the conference. They will travel down the road next week to compete against a blue school. Kickoff will be at 10am. Go Tigers!
