The Fishers JV team experienced adversity on Saturday including a lightning delay, a late start to the game, and only playing two quarters. Even with all the adversity, the JV team was able to pull off a come from behind win versus the Pike Red Devil’s JV team. The Tiger’s defense was stout all afternoon holding the Red Devils to only one touchdown on three redzone trips, which made the score 7-0. The offense, led by replacement quarter back Jaxson Andrews, was able to move the ball consistently, but came up short multiple times. It wasn’t until the end of the game that the offense caught a spark and drove down the field. With only a minute left in the game, Jaxson rolled to his right and connected with Vincent Rozzi, who cut back, making two defenders miss, on his way to a 20-yard touchdown catch. Down 6-7, the Tigers went for two on a Darian Girton sweep and scored, making the game 8-7. On the ensuing possession, the defense stepped up again. Cooper Stout started the drive with a sack, capping off a great game for Cooooop! On the final play of the game, Kayden Myers intercepted a pass to win it for the Tigers! The JV Tigers are currently 2-0 and will play at Noblesville next Saturday at 10am. Go Tigers!
