The Fishers JV2 Silver Tigers (1-4) lost at Noblesville 8-3. Noblesville struck first in the opening inning, capitalizing on a walk and a passed ball to take an early 1-0 lead. Fishers responded in the top of the second, as Landon Sanders ripped a double down the left field line to even the score at 1-1. The Tigers carried that momentum into the third inning, stringing together quality at-bats. After putting runners on, Eli Engebretson delivered with an RBI single after battling at the plate with 2 strikes to give Fishers a 2-1 advantage. However, Noblesville answered right back in the bottom half, using walks, aggressive baserunning, and an RBI single to reclaim the lead at 3-2. Noblesville continued to apply pressure in the fourth inning, extending their lead to 4-2 after a triple and a productive groundout brought another run home. Fishers showed resilience in the top of the fifth and created a scoring opportunity that briefly shifted momentum. Nate Birsa reached and later came around to score on a 2-strike RBI single from Reed Grampp, cutting the deficit to 4-3. The Tigers had traffic on the bases and a chance to do more damage, but Noblesville was able to limit the inning and hold onto the lead. In the bottom half of the fifth, Noblesville broke the game open. A combination of timely hitting—including a two-run triple—and capitalizing on passed balls allowed them to extend their lead to 8-3, creating separation late in the game. John Frank started on the mound for Fishers, working into the middle innings and striking out three. He was relieved by Ryan Storm, who came in to finish the game. At the plate, Grampp led the Tigers with a 2-3 performance, while Sanders and Grampp each drove in a run. Defensively, Fishers was solid, playing error-free baseball with Zach Dowd leading the way with three plays in the field. Fishers JV2 Silver Tigers will look to bounce back as they host Noblesville Millers JVG in their next matchup.
