Story of 2 and first. 2 dudes in Numbers 13 & 14 got it right. They saw an opportunity presented to them by God and that’s what it was. On the other hand we have first. I have had so many first presented to me over the years in Baseball it is ridiculous. Took the first Big League team from Europe to the National Championship in Florida. Took Doherty to Arizona and their first ever Metro League Championship. With the Bulldogs played in AAU and USA Baseball Championships for first time. Other places like Rapid City, Scottsbluff and Salina were first. A bunch of Tennessee guys went to Omaha, Perfect game in Florida and Georgia, 1st time …. And who could forget a trip to Chillicothe, OH. There are a ton more of those first. However, this Saturday we send 2 into the land of Giants. There are 40 teams and 1,000 runners in 6 divisions. We will be either the smallest of second smallest school in the competition. 2 Freshmen’s very 1st HS race ever in the Giant state of Texas.
