THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (SEPT 8-13) • Mustang Football travels to Covington next Friday, with their annual sportsmanship banquet on Thursday. • Jr high volleyball earned a split at Covington on Tuesday, with 7th grade winning 2-0, while 8th grade dropped their match 0-2. On Thursday, both the 7th and 8th defeated Crawfordsville 2-0. • The volleyball team dropped a match on Thursday at South Vermillion, but they look to bounce back Tuesday, as they host North Montgomery on Dave Sanders Court. • Boys Tennis lost to Covington 3-2 on Tuesday. Ayden Batchelor and Hayden Hargrave earned wins for the Mustangs. • Girls Golf traveled to Rocky Ridge on Tuesday - Rya Jackson scored the low score of the match out of three teams and earned her personal best shooting a 46! Congratulations Rya!! Bella Bacon shot 57 and Lilly Gregory 62 respectively. • Congratulations to Fountain Central coaches and athletes – we will be receiving the IHSAA Sportsmanship Banner at the Area Principals’ Meeting at Brownsburg High School on Sept 11. Fountain Central’s Salute to Veterans Charles Forrest American Legion Auxiliary Unit #288 in cooperation with the Fountain Central Athletic Department, is hosting “A Salute to Veterans Night”, at the Fountain Central football field. The Mustangs host the Seeger Patriots that night. All current military and veterans may sign in at the main entrance and receive recognition and free admission for the night. Please join us in a community celebration of our military and veterans on: Friday, September 26, 2025 Sign in at the main entrance by 6:35pm. Recognition begins at 6:40pm.
