THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (SEPT 1-6) • Mustang Football starts the WRC season this Friday at home against Riverton Parke. We will be recognizing all fall jr high athletes at halftime of the game on Friday. Thank you to the many people who helped organize last Friday’s student appreciation night. We still have some custom Mustang sunglasses left over. See Mr. Good if you are interested in a pair. The JV football team will host Parke Heritage Tuesday night. • Volleyball bounced back from a loss to Seeger on Tuesday with JV and varsity wins Thursday at Schlarman. They travel to Parke Heritage Tuesday for another WRC match-up, while the jr high will travel to Covington. • Jr high and high school tennis will host Covington on Tuesday. • Girls golf will face North Montgomery and Faith Christian @ Rocky Ridge Golf Course Tuesday. • Boys and Girls cross country will get a sectional course preview this weekend at the Harrison Invitational, while jr high travels to Illinois for the annual Cow Chip Invitational. • Congratulations to Fountain Central coaches and athletes – we will be receiving the IHSAA Sportsmanship Banner at the Area Principals’ Meeting at Brownsburg High School on Sept 11.
