Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

After a couple of close losses the past two game, Fountain Central was able to pick up a big win over Western Boone. The Mustangs beat the Stars 57-50 gaining some much needed momentum going into Sectional play next week. FC was able to get off to a fast start grabbing a quick lead in the first quarter. The Stars were able to battle back in the second quarter as the Mustangs got away from what was working so well in the first quarter. The Mustangs found themselves down 25-29 at halftime. In the locker room the players knew that in order to win the game they needed to go back to how they played at the beginning of the game. It worked as Fountain Central won the third quarter by 2 and then exploded in the fourth with 21 points. The Mustangs were led in scoring by Eli Foxworthy with 27, followed by Ayden Batchelor with 9 and Noah Dodson with 8. Fountain Central will play again next Wednesday in the 6pm game, as they will look for some revenge against the North Vermillion Falcons.
