Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

Fountain Central hands Southmont their first loss of the season with a score of 42-38. The Lady Mustangs defense had a strong showing in the team victory. Citrus Wesley led the defense by only allowing Southmont's overall leading scorer to get 4 points on the night. Citrus also had 4 offensive rebounds, 3 assists, went 2 for 2 from the free throw line, and had one steal. Henley Good played a well rounded game leading the Mustangs in scoring with 13 points,7 of them from the free throw line, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Kendyl Nolan followed with 10 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds,2 blocks, and a steal. Bella Bacon earned 9 points and 9 rebounds as well as 4 assists in the win tonight. Aubrey Ashwill play some great defense while also pulling in 10 rebounds, 2 steals, and scoring 8 points. Cadence White helped the Mustangs in the win with playing some solid help side defense. She had a steal and a block as well as a couple of rebounds. The Lady Mustangs look to carry this momentum into Friday as they take on Seeger High School for the first round of the Holiday Bi-County Tournament. The Mustangs will travel to the Williamsport gym to play at 6:00 pm. The Varsity boys game will follow.
