They have a big week next week with a girls/boys meet at RP on Tuesday and the WRC meet on Thursday @ Covington. • The boys’ wrestling team also defeated Covington 52-12. Next Saturday (Dec 20, they will travel to North Vermillion for the North V Invitational. • The boys’ basketball team won at the road at Clinton Central on Dec 5 and again at home Tuesday vs Traders Point. The JV also won on Tuesday, as Noah Simmons hit 2 big free throws to give them a 3 point lead before Tucker Ashwill stole the ball on the last possession to seal the victory. Congratulations to Sam Foley on his first JV coaching win! The Mustangs’ game at Riverton Parke Friday was postponed to Jan 13. • The girls’ basketball team picked up a 2 big wins last week against Lafayette Central Catholic and Terre Haute South. They started the WRC season with a tough loss at Seeger on Tuesday but bounced back with a win at North Vermillion on Thursday to improve their record to 10-2. • The girls’ basketball game vs Attica was postponed again, due to weather. Make-up date is TBD. The girls are scheduled to host Southmont (11-0) on Monday. • A short-handed (injuries and illness) swimming and diving team traveled to Seeger on Thursday and fell to the Patriots. Next week’s schedule for the Mustangs has changed slightly. On Monday, at South Vermillion, the Mustangs will face Attica and South Vermillion, which means there will not be a meet at Attica on Thursday. If weather postpones Monday’s swim meet at South Vermillion, the tentative make-up date is Tuesday, Dec 16. • The Swimming & Diving Bi-County Meet is next Saturday (Dec 20) at Attica. • The annual boys and girls Bi-County Holiday Tournament will be held at Seeger (Williamsport) Friday night, as girls’ varsity tips at 6pm, followed by boys’ varsity. On Saturday, the consolation and championship games will all be held at Covington, with the girls’ consolation game tipping off at 2:30pm. • FCMustangs.com has a new look.
