THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (DEC 8-13) • Christmas Break is around the corner, and Fountain Central’s Band & Choir will be helping get everyone in the holiday spirit with their annual Christmas Concert on Wednesday, Dec 10, in the Main Gym, at 7pm. Come out and see what is always a great show put on by our band and choir students, led by Ashley Brown and Stephanie Perkins. • The Dec 2 girls’ basketball game vs Attica has been re-scheduled for Saturday, Dec 13. This will be a 10am start and it will be varsity only. There will be no Bi-County JV girls tourney this year, as 2 of the competing schools are not currently fielding a JV team. However, on Monday, Dec 8, we will be playing a JV only girls’ basketball game vs North Putnam. 6pm start in the Main Gym. • Boys basketball hosts Traders Point on Tuesday, Dec 9, and will travel to Riverton Parke for their first WRC game of the season. • The girls’ wrestling team will compete in the South Vermillion Invitational on Monday, Dec 8, while the boys will travel to the Cl Prairie Inv on Sat, Dec. 13. Both the boys and girls play host to Covington for a match on Thursday, Dec 11. • Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving will travel to Seeger on Thursday, Dec 11 for a WRC match-up with the Patriots. • This Saturday (Dec 6) will be our annual Wrestling Round Robin Tournament at FC. This year, we will have 3 mats going in the main gym, while 2 additional mats will be in the AUX gym for the girls’ matches. Wrestling is set to begin at 9am. There will be 6 boys’ teams and 7 girls’ teams competing on Saturday. • Also on Saturday (Dec 6), the girls basketball team will be hosting 4A Terre Haute South. This will be a 6pm tip-off for JV. Varsity to follow. • Next week, Fountain Central will hold its annual Christmas Dance on Saturday, Dec 13. • FCMustangs.com has a new look. While it is the same address, the athletics website is now directly connected to EventLink, so you can view the most accurate schedules, see results, and purchase tickets all in the same place.
