THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (DEC 1-6) • Happy Thanksgiving. With the break coming up, this is going out prior to the multi-sport event between Fountain Central and North Montgomery. Tuesday (Nov 25) girls/boys basketball and girls/boys wrestling will take place at Fountain Central, with girls wrestling starting at 5:30pm in the elementary gym and girls basketball starting at 6pm in the main gym. Boys JV basketball will play while girls varsity is playing and girls JV will play while boys varsity is playing. • Swimming & Diving will take place at North Montgomery, due to construction still being underway on the FC pool. • The 6th grade boys’ basketball team picked up a trophy in the St. Lawrence Tournament last weekend, with wins over St. Boniface and St. Lawrence. Great job guys! • Girls’ wrestling won at Crawfordsville on Tuesday. • Boys’ and girls’ wrestling host their annual round robin wrestling tournament on Saturday, Dec 6. 6 boys teams and 6 girls team will compete. The girls will wrestle on 2 mats in the auxiliary gym while the boys will wrestle on 3 mats in the main gym. Wrestling is set to begin at 9 am with 5 rounds of wrestling. A big thank you goes out to the wrestlers, coaches, and workers who help set up and take down for the match. • Following the Wrestling Round Robin, our girls’ basketball team (6-1) will host 4A Terre Haute South (5-0) Saturday evening at 6pm. JV will tip off at 6pm, with varsity expected to follow at approximately 7pm. • FCMustangs.com has a new look. While it is the same address, the athletics website is now directly connected to EventLink, so you can view the most accurate schedules, see results, and purchase tickets all in the same place. • Happy Thanksgiving!
