The Mustangs worked together to beat Crawfordsville Athenians by a score of 53-22. The Mustang defense worked to force the Athenians into 25 turnovers. Several Mustangs contributed to the win tonight. Kendyl Nolan led the way for the Mustangs scoring 16 points and pulling in a couple of rebounds. Freshman Citrus Wesley earned her first double-double of her high school career scoring 15 points, pulling down 11 rebounds, and she also had 3 steals. Henley Good had a pretty good night across the stats. She earned 2 blocks, 5 assists, 6 steals, grabbed 8 rebounds, and scored 13 points. Aubrey Ashwill put in some work as well for the Mustangs scoring 5 points and pulling in 7 rebounds. Cassandra Wildman had 2 points, 3 steals, and 6 rebounds on the night. Kynleigh Elkins and Makayla Carnahan finished the night with a point apiece. Elkins also had 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds. The Mustangs are back at home on Tuesday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving Extravaganza where they will face off with the North Montgomery Chargers. It is an all events evening where you may see wrestling, boys basketball, and girls basketball. Varsity Girls Play at 6:00 PM in the main gym, and Junior Varsity girls will follow the boys Junior Varsity in the auxiliary gym. Please come out and support all of your Mustangs.
