Our 7th grade basketball team started out the season with 2 wins against the Decatur Hawks. They destroyed the Hawks, especially gaining on them in the second halves. Their flawless defense and endless baskets made for an exciting game. The Flashes continued to be hard-working and stay strong throughout the game, leading to a first big win. Next week, the Flashes will be home team for our games against the Shelbyville Bears and Belzer Bears. The 8th grade Boys Varsity Basketball team was defeated last night by Decatur Central. Coach Wimmenauer, however, was still pleased with the boys' effort and hopes to continue to improve. In good news, the 8th grade Junior Varsity team received their first win of the season with a close score, leaving them winning by one point. Specifically, Beckett Draher and Lathen Edwards showed great effort to play. Malachi Hasseld shot a free throw in less than 10 seconds to raise the score, leading the Flashes to their triumph.
