Potters Open 2026 Season with Victory Over Edison The East Liverpool High School boys golf team opened its 2026 campaign on a winning note Wednesday, defeating Edison 195-212 in its season opener at home. The Potters were led by Kam Engle, who earned match medalist honors with an impressive round of 43. Cooper Klein and Donovan Shallcross each carded rounds of 49 to provide a strong supporting effort, while Carstin Suznevich rounded out East Liverpool’s scoring with a 54. Edison was paced by Xander Haught, who posted a team-best 47. Dillon Long followed with a 49, while Becket Dopp and Mason Cronin each finished with rounds of 58. With the victory, the Potters begin the season 1-0 and will look to build on their strong opening performance as the 2026 schedule continues. The Potters head to the Brookfield Invitational Wednesday August 5 and will be back in action at home August 12th.
