Duchesne Hockey (2-2) left nothing to question by the closing buzzer of their Monday night game against Howell Central. After Central took an early lead with a goal just 1:19 into the beginning of the game, Duchesne went on a rampage the rest of the game and came away with a decisive 9-3 victory. Six different Pioneers scored the nine goals with one of those players, Kaden Beilsten, getting a hat trick in the game. Beilsten also had two assists to add to his 5 point night. Owen Kelsey continued his scoring tear with a 6 point night (2 goals and 4 assists) while Ella Burke got her first goal of the season and added two assists before her night was complete. Other scorers included Cooper Richards, Hudson Bomerschein, and Jansen Smith who notched his third goal of the season. Goalie Peter Durso got his second start of the season and left the game with a 2-0 record stopping 24 out of 27 shots and also did so with the help of a defense that allowed less shots on goal as each period progressed during the night. Duchesne now carries a 2-2 record into their next contest against Fort Zumwalt South on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 8:10pm. The game will be at the Wentzville Ice Arena. Following that, they will play on Friday night, Nov. 13 at 9:30pm against Fort Zumwalt East at the St. Peter's RecPlex. We hope to see a good crowd for both games.
