Middle School vs Riverview School Win The Dekalb Middle School lady baron soccer team defeated the Riverview Middle School lady raiders in an impressive 7-0 win! The lady barons dominated the first half of the match scoring 5 goals and not allowing a single shot on goal from the lady raiders. This team effort earned Elena Norrick her second shut out for a half. Our first goal was scored by Kathryn Robinson. She was able to win a loose ball and dribble into the attacking third of the field and slot the ball past the keeper. Our second goal was scored by Delia King. She received a well placed pass from Ari Lewis to assist her first goal of the evening. Our third goal was scored by Kathryn Robinson, her second of the evening. Kyla Kjendalen placed a perfectly paced pass to Cami Abel who placed a through pass to assist the goal. Our fourth goal came from our center defender, Delia King. She won the ball at midfield and was able to dribble into goal scoring range for a hard shot on frame for her second goal of the evening. Our fifth goal also came from our center defender, Delia King. Again she was able to win the ball near midfield and dribble in to the 18 for her third goal of the evening, earning herself a hat trick. Our sixth goal came early in the second half from Elena Norrick. Cami Abel placed a beautiful through ball setting Elena up for a beautiful finish. Our seventh and final goal for the evening came from Anna Holbrook. Hailee Keller was able to win a loose ball and find Holbrook in the box for the shot on goal that skimmed past a lady raider defender to find the back of the net. Delia King earned the second half shut out, saving 8 shots on goal. Pointing out that she had an incredible three saves in a row from point blank range late in the match to secure the win. The lady barons had 19 shots on goal for the match. The entire lady baron team contributed to the impressive win and shutouts!
