DeKalb Middle School vs Paul Harding Junior High School (3 - 2) Win The Dekalb Middle School lady barons soccer team defeated the Harding Middle School lady hawks 3-2. Our first goal was initiated from a defensive win by our center midfielder Delia King, who sent a long ball forward to Cami Abel. Cami was able to dribble into the attacking third to slot the ball past the keeper. Our second goal was a loose ball collected by Cami Abel near the center line. She dribbled the ball through multiple lady hawk defenders to shoot the ball in the upper side netting. Our third goal was an own goal off of a lady hawk defender. Delia King won a loose ball near the center line and dribbled through multiple defenders to have her shot on goal redirected into the corner of the net. Nya Helmkamp played an impressive defensive match shutting down one of their strongest attackers. Elle Aldrich was also defensively strong to shut down several goal scoring opportunities from the lady hawk attackers. Our goal keeper Elena Norrick had multiple saves and only allowed 2 goals. The lady barons captured a true team win by all members of the team contributing top to bottom. The lady barons play Thursday at Riverview at 6:30p.
