6th Grade vs New Haven Intermediate (41 - 18) Win The DeKalb 6th grade boys basketball team finished their season last night with a decisive 41-18 victory over New Haven. The game was decided by tough defense, excellent rebounding and up-tempo fast breaks. Many players contributed in the win. The Barons were led in scoring by Lucas Sarll's 9 points. Other scorers included: Landry Schache 5, Cohan Turley 5, Noah Chapman 5, Drew Jennings 4, Zach Anderson 4, Gary Miller 3, Quinn Schmidt 2, Colton Brandon 2, Mason Hutchens 1 and Micah LaRue with 1. The DeKalb A team finished the season with a final record of 9 wins and 2 losses. The B team finished with a final record of 7 wins and 2 losses. The future looks bright for these young men. They demonstrated real improvement over the season and should be exciting to watch in the years ahead.
