6th Grade (B Team) vs Blackhawk Christian Jr-Sr HS (30 - 34) Loss 6th Grade (A Team) vs Blackhawk Christian Jr-Sr HS (35 - 36) Loss The DeKalb boys 6th grade basketball team lost a heartbreaker last night at Blackhawk Christian. The final score was 36-35. The Barons were up two with under a minute to go before a Blackhawk player hit a 3 pointer. DeKalb played excellent defense throughout the game and got balanced scoring from five different players. Landry Schache led the Barons with 10. Zach Anderson had 8, Lucas Sarll with 7, Drew Jennings had 6 and Keller Haiflich chipped in 4 points. The Barons return to action next week against Crestview. The DeKalb B roster also took a tough loss last night as Blackhawk turned the tide in the 4th quarter to take the lead and defeat our Barons. The final score was 34-30. It was a well played game. Cohan Turley led the Barons with 13 points. Micah LaRue chipped in 7. Colton Brandon and Korbin Jones had 3. Noah Chapman and Kain Williford rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
