6th Grade (A Team) vs Lakeland Middle School (39 - 8) Win 6th Grade (B Team) vs Lakeland Middle School (27 - 4) Win Last night the DeKalb 6th grade boys basketball team traveled over to Lagrange to take on the Lakeland Lakers. The boys came out with a victory by a count of 39-8. The boys' pressure defense allowed them to get many fast break opportunities. Lucas Sarll had an outstanding game and led the Barons with 18 points. However, many Barons reached the scoring column including Landry Schache with 6, Quinn Schmidt had 4, Drew Jennings had 3 and Keller Haiflich, Maddox Schache, Zach Anderson and Cohan Turley with 2 apiece. The Barons return to action on Thursday when they take on Blackhawk Christian. The DeKalb B roster also played a great game last night and was victorious by a score of 27-4. This team is getting better each week and they passed the ball beautifully in finding teammates for open baskets. Noah Chapman played a great game and had 9 points to lead the Barons. Micah LaRue was close behind with 8 points. Gary Miller chipped in 4 and Kain Williford, Mason Hutchins and Dantae Newsome all had 2 points.
