Covert High School

Angel Gomez was a leader on our defense and cleaned up a lot of mistakes in the back end. He is a coachable kid and impressed coaches around the league. Diego Villa was our leading goal scorer this season. He was our Senior Captain up top and led the attack against opposing defenses. Ramon Rodriguez was a crucial part of both the offense and the defense as he was our center midfielder. Our team went as Ramon did. He facilitated in the middle and was rarely outworked on the field. Noe Villa was an outstanding goalkeeper this season. Every coach had wonderful things to say about Noe and his future as a Covert soccer player for the next four seasons. Covert Varsity Soccer also had three student-athletes recognized for the All-District Team Honorable Mention Angel Gomez (defense) Diego Villa (forward) Ramon Rodriguez (midfield)
