The CMS XC team traveled to IU East to participate in the Hounds and Hare invite. The team performed very well taming the hilly course with many personal and season best runs. The boys team was once again running short handed, missing their number two runner. The team battled hard with other runners stepping up their game. They eventually fell 4 points short, placing second to the Red Devils. Maysn Welter turned in another personal record, finishing second in 10:38 followed by Desond Shipman in 4th place with a PR of 11:19. Graham Pflum was 6th with a PR of 13:10. Noah Rees was 12th in 14:38 (PR) and Alexander Streuwing, 13th in 14:40. Caroline Roberts finished 2nd overall with her best race of the young season in a. time of 13:30. Cree Slater continued her impressive beginning finishing 8th, 15:21. Riley Smith in 21st, 19:01 and Kyra Branstetter 25th, 23:16 rounded out the scoring. The team will compete in the 28 team Greensburg invitational on Monday 8/25.
