CMS boys Red team traveled to New Castle on 8/21 after a loss in their season opener to Greensburg on 8/18. The boys rallied as a team to defeat New Castle 8-0. Scorers for the Spartans were Ceaser Orr with 2 goals, Cooper Deboard with 1 goal, Logan Houghland with 1 goal, Hank Nickel with 2 goals, and Brayden Bunch with 2 goals. Assists were also given by Hunter Robinson, Spencer Sailor, and Ceaser Orr. Adam Jones kept a clean sheet with his start as Goalie. He was assisted in his shut out by a scrappy Defensive line. Spartan Red are now 1-1 on the season. The Spartans next game is @ Home on 8/28 against Greenfield Central. CMS boys White traveled to Lapel on 8/23 for their season opener. They came home with a 4-0 victory. Since this game was COED the boys were assisted by part of the Girls team. Scorers for the Spartans were Jaxon Myers with 2 goals, Bentley Rowe with 1 goal, and Robby House with 1 goal. Assists were also given by Noah Richards, Bentley Rowe, Charli Corbitt, and Jaxon Myers. Ethan Steward kept a clean sheet with his start as Goalie. Spartan White are now 1-0 on the season and will have played their second game on 8/25 by the time of publication.
