The Boys Golf team played at home on Thursday against Hagerstown. The shorthanded Spartans came up one stroke short, losing 178-179. It was not a score that either team is used to, but the course seemed to play tough tonight. We had some golfers play really well tonight, and others who had a rough night. In the Varsity match, Logan Young led the way with a 43, tied for 2nd overall. Aiden Gibbs and Talon Sherwood followed closely behind, each with a 44. Levi Marszalek and Peyton Tomlin (PB) rounded the scoring, each with a 48. Rylan Keen came in with a 55. The Connersville JV team had a few golfers record a personal best. Grady Simpkins and Zane Kirschner-Ellison came in with their season-low 49, 2nd overall. Eli Smith also recorded a personal best with a 52. Other golfers competing for the Spartans were Brandt Lykins (64), Wyatt Bohlander (65), Caigan Gettinger (67), and Zander Noah (71). The Spartans have a busy week next week as they travel to Knightstown on Monday, host Senior night vs New Castle on Thursday, host North Decatur on Friday, and will host the Connersville Invitational on Saturday.
