Connersville

The 8th grade Lady Spartans traveled to Eastern Hancock Thursday evening to capture their fourth win of the season. The Spartans put up 5 runs in the 2nd inning and another 5 in the 4th inning. Connersville up 10 runs proved to be enough as EH was held scoreless throughout the game. Connersville played a good game all around with everyone contributing. Rylynn Conley was again outstanding on the mound throwing 4 innings giving up no hits and striking out 10. Leading hitters were Rylynn Conley with 2 hits and 3 RBIs and Charli Ficklin with 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Maci Smith provided a triple with 2 RBIs. Sammi Lakes and Ellie Bentley each added 1 hit a piece. The Lady Spartans are now 4-3 and will be looking for their next win at home Monday against Yorktown with a start time of 5:30.
