On Tuesday, April 28th, the Connersville High School Boys Track and Field team hosted the Franklin County Wildcats. The Spartans brought home a very decisive win with a score of 101 to the Wildcats' 31. Top finishers for the boys were Zeke Caylor, 1st in shot put, Benton Lakes, 3rd in shot put, Noah Roosa, 3rd in discus, Lakin Lakes, 1st in long jump, Carson Moore, 2nd in long jump, Hunter Carpenter, 3rd in long jump and high jump, Andrew Miracle, 1st in high jump, Jonny Ropp, 2nd in high jump, Arthur Struewing, 1st in pole vault and 3rd in the 300 hurdles, Finn Smith, 2nd in pole vault, 110 hurdles, and 300 hurdles, Lincoln Shafer, 3rd in pole vault and the 110 hurdles, Hunter Bales, 1st in the 1600 and 3200, Axle Pflum, 2nd in the 1600 and 800, Layne Shook, 1st in the 800 and 3rd in the 1600, Jared Burns, 2nd in the 3200, Phoenix Crabtree, 3rd in the 3200, Andrew Miracle, 1st in the 110 hurdles, Kingston O'Toole, 1st in the 100, Jonny Ropp, 1st in the 400, Michael Mason, 2nd in the 400, Bronson Lykins, 1st in the 300 hurdles as well as the 4x400 relay team of Mason, Evans, O'Toole, and Ropp, and the 4x800m relay team of Struewing, Pflum, L Shook, and Bales also placed 1st. The team is next in action Friday night at the Northeastern Knight Invitational. Field events start at 5:30 pm.
