Girls Track squeaks out victory against Franklin County

On Tuesday, April 28th, the Connersville High School Girls Track and Field Team narrowly squeaked out a victory against the Franklin County Wildcats. They won with a score of 65 to 61. Top finishers for the Lady Spartans were Bri Adkins, 1st in shot put, Stella Holmes, 3rd in shot put, Phoebe Jordan, 2nd in discus, Abby Huffman, 3rd in discus, Zoey Chomel, 2nd in high jump, Kiayah McKinney, 1st in 100 and 300 hurdles and 3rd in high jump, Hannah Ropp, 2nd in pole vault and 100 hurdles, Chelsea Carpenter, 3rd in pole vault, Chloe Keal, 1st in the 1600 and 3200, Hylee Slater, 1st in the 800 and 2nd in the 1600, Evie Haldeman, 2nd in 300 hurdles and 3rd in 100 hurdles, Allenah Miller, 2nd in the 100 and 200, Shye Evitts, 3rd in the 100, Jazmine Bond, 2nd in the 400, Clara Jackson, 3rd in the 400 and 200. The team is next in action at the Northeastern Knight Invitational this Friday night with a start time of 5:30.
