The Spartan Golf team traveled to Legends Golf Course in Franklin on Saturday to compete in the 21-team Whiteland Invitational. The Spartans finished a respectable 7th in the field with a team score of 327. "This course is a links-style course, which is different from most courses we play. Some of the top teams in the state were here, and though I know we collapsed toward the end of our round, I can't be disappointed with our score. Once again, leading the way was Logan Young with a 78. He had a bad hole on the front 9, but he did not let that discourage him and finished strongly. He was followed by Trey Hughes (81), Aiden Gibbs (82), and Talon Sherwood (86). Levi Marszalek had a personal 18-hole best this season with a 95. The Spartans will host Hagerstown at home on Thursday, with the match set to start at 5:00.
