The 8th grade Lady Spartans came out with their third victory of the season last night over East Central 7-2. East Central put up 1 run in the top of the first inning with the Spartans tying the game with 1 run of their own in the bottom of the second. The Spartans then put up 6 more runs in the bottom half of the 3rd inning to bring the score to 7-1, only giving up 1 more run in the 4th inning secured the victory for the Lady Spartans. Another strong outing for the pitcher Rylynn Conley pitching 5 innings giving up 2 earned runs with 12 strikeouts. Leading hitters were Charli Ficklin, Sammi Lakes, and Alexis Mays-Cox each with one hit. Sammi Lakes, Alexis Mays-Cox, and Kira Branstetter each collected one RBI. The 8th grade Lady Spartans are next in action at home against Greensburg Monday the 27th @6pm.
