On Tuesday, April 21st, the Connersville High School Girls Track and Field team hosted New Castle and Greensburg. They placed solidly second, even with a large portion of the team absent due to illness, with 55 points to New Castle's 68 and Greesburg's 40. Top finishers for the Lady Spartans were Allenah Miller, 2nd in the 200, Jazmine Bond, 3rd in the 400, Hylee Slater, 2nd in the 800, Chloe Keal, 1st in the 1600 and 3200, Evie Haldeman, 2nd in the 100 hurdles, Lexi Freese, 3rd in the 100 hurdles, Bri Adkins, 1st in shot put, Stella Holmes, 3rd in shot put, Alex Sweet, 2nd in discus, Zoey Chomel, 1st in high jump, Hannah Ropp, 3rd in pole vault, and Ember Paxson, 3rd in long jump. The team is next in action at the Dean Stoltz Invitational at Eaton High School on Saturday at 9:00 am.
