The 8th grade Lady Spartans softball team came out victorious against the visiting Benjamin Rush Cubs 18-1 Tuesday night. Strong pitching from Rylynn Conley with 3 innings pitched with 9k’s and 0 runs allowed lead the way. Tinsley Jefferson finished the game in relief pitching 2 innings giving up 1 hit and 1 run while striking out 3. Hitting was led by Charli Ficklin who went 3-4 with 5 RBIs and Sammi Lakes who went 3-3 with 4 RBIs. Macy Smith, Alexis Mays-Cox and Naily Chaney all added 2 hits a piece and Carly Green and Ellie Bentley each adding 1 hit. The Lady Spartans will next be in action at home vs. Monroe Central tonight @ 5:30.
