April 1, 2026 vs. Richmond Connersville Varsity Spartans lost to Richmond 6-1 on Wednesday. A passed ball put Connersville Varsity Spartans on the board in the bottom of the first. Richmond took the lead in the top of the second. #7 tripled, scoring four runs, to give Richmond the upper hand, 4-1. #2 earned the win for Richmond. The hurler allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking three. Good pitched five innings in relief for Connersville Varsity Spartans. The pitcher surrendered two hits and two runs (one earned) while, striking out six and walking six. Shearer took the loss for Connersville Varsity Spartans. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking three. Brannon went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Connersville Varsity Spartans in hits. Flanigan stole two bases. #7 led Richmond with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. #11 led Richmond with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. #4 stole two bases.
