In a high-octane battle, the Concord Yellow Jackets displayed immense grit, clawing back from a daunting 28-0 first-quarter deficit before narrowly falling 48-46 to Lenawee Christian. The night began in disastrous fashion for Concord, as Lenawee Christian erupted for 28 unanswered points in the opening quarter. However, the Yellow Jackets refused to roll over, sparking a monumental offensive turnaround led by quarterback Wyatt Mandrelle. Mandrelle got Concord on the board late in the first quarter with an explosive 76-yard touchdown run, followed by a successful two-point conversion run by Darrell Dean Jr., cutting the lead to 28-8. Concord’s air attack caught fire in the second quarter. Mandrelle connected with receiver Culley Sprague on back-to-back deep touchdown passes of 50 and 59 yards, each capped by Mandrelle two-point conversion runs, keeping the Yellow Jackets within reach at 35-24. After Lenawee Christian pushed the margin to 42-24 at halftime and added a third-quarter field goal, Concord unleashed a dominant ground assault. Running back Luke Burrow took over the third quarter, busting through the defense for long touchdown runs of 48 and 50 yards. With Darrell Dean Jr. running in two-point conversions after both scores, Concord closed the gap to 48-40 heading into the fourth quarter. The dramatic comeback bid peaked in the final quarter when Mandrelle found Darrell Dean Jr. for a 44-yard touchdown strike, bringing Concord within two points at 48-46. Although the potential game-tying two-point conversion try fell short, Concord's resilience and 46-point explosion over the final three quarters left it all on the field. Landon Lynn led the Concord defense with 19 total tackles. Karson Frazer added 13, Austin Taylor 11, and Darrell Dean Jr. added 9 total tackles.
