On Tuesday night, the Cross Country Teams traveled to Bronson for the third Jamboree of the 2026 Big 8 season. On a wonderful night to compete, it was a Big 8 battle, as the Concord Boys finished second out of ten teams, beating the host school, Bronson, by one point. Leading the way for the Yellowjackets was Jase Herendeen in 11th place. He was followed by Keaton Smith in 12th, Finn Hutchinson in 16th, Liam Bauman in 20th, Kadin Shook in 31st, Zane Jason in 33rd, and Brandon Watkins in 47th. Congratulations to Finn Hutchinson, who ran his fastest time of the 2026 season, and to Brandon Watkins, who was just a few seconds from his fastest time this year. For the Girls, it was a battle, and they knew it would be, as they competed shorthanded with two girls out. While they would have loved to keep their jamboree win streak going, Bronson had a phenomenal night. Bronson earned the Jamboree championship, and our Concord ladies came up just four points behind in second. Leading the way was Audrey Pyle in first, with Audrey Rinehart close behind in second, running her fastest time this season. Braelynn Thorrez had an outstanding meet, finishing 11th in a Jamboree, her best this year, and running her fastest time of the 2026 season by 19 seconds. Right behind Braelynn in 12th place was Olivia Chadwell. Way to go, ladies. We now look forward to traveling to Hudson this Saturday for their Invitational. High School Boys Team Scores: 1.
