Concord Athletic Department

On Saturday, the Concord Cross Country teams traveled to Stockbridge to compete in their 30 Team Invitational. For this meet, they run all the High School Boys Teams in one race and all the High School Girls Teams in one race. They then give out individual awards based on how they do against everyone, but for Team honors they split the event into schools with fewer than 300 students and those with more than 300 in their high school. In the Boys race, Concord placed third, and we want to congratulate Keaton Smith and Jase Herendeen for both earning medals. We also had Jase, Liam Bauman, and Kadin Shook run their fastest times ever. Congratulations, guys. Finn Hutchinson and Zane Jason both took advantage of the day to run their fastest times of the 2026 season, while Brandon Watkins went out and had a fantastic first two-mile split. In the Girls race, our Lady Yellowjackets placed second as they battled with Leslie for the Championship title. Individually, Audrey Pyle, Haley Stimer, Audrey Rinehart, and Mya Barrett all placed in the top 50 to earn a Stockbridge Invitational Medal, with Audrey Pyle, Audrey Rinehart, and Mya all running their fastest times of the 2026 season. Congratulations to Braelynn Thorrez, who was very close to her best time of the season as she ran her second-fastest time. Way to go, Ladies. We now look forward to traveling to Bronson on Tuesday for the third Jamboree of the Big 8 season. Boys Team Scores from Stockbridge: 1. Leslie 52 2. Manchester 72 3. CONCORD 79 4.
