Reading 198 On Tuesday night, the Big 8 Cross Country Teams traveled to Springport for the second Big 8 Jamboree of the 2026 season. The first race of the night was the high school boys. The Concord crew finished in second, 17 points behind Quincy. Leading the way for the yellowjackets was Keaton Smith in tenth place, right behind him was Jase Herendeen in 11th place, then came Kadin Shook in 17th, in 21st was Finn Hutchinson, in 23rd was Liam Bauman, with Zane Jason in 34th. Also racing for the team was Brandon Watkins, who had his fastest first mile of the season. In the second race of the night, it was the High School Girls. Congratulations to your Lady Yellowjackets as they earned the title Springport Jamboree Champions! In first place, with her fastest time of the 2026 season, was Haley Stimer. 2 seconds behind her in second was Audrey Pyle. In fourth place was Audrey Rinehart. In 12th place was Olivia Chadwell. Having a spectacular race was Mya Barrett in 14th, and in 18th place was Braelynn Thorrez. The athletes now look forward to traveling to Stockbridge on Saturday to compete in the Stockbridge Invitational.
