Concord Athletic Department

On Wednesday night the Concord High School Cross Country Team hosted the Concord Invitational. Joining the Concord athletes were the runners from Athens, Sand Creek, Jackson Northwest, Manchester, Reading, Tekonsha, and Mendon. When the results were tallied your Lady Yellow Jackets came away with another Invitational Championship. Individually Audrey Pyle was first, Audrey Rinehart was second, Haley Stimer was third, Olivia Chadwell was fifth, Mya Barrett was seventh, and Braelynn Thorrez was thirteenth. All six of them ran their fastest time of the season and all six of them earned a medal, with Olivia also running her fastest time ever! Way to Go Ladies! The Concord boys placed second as Sand Creek earned the invitational Championship. Our Concord boys edged out Manchester by one point to earn the Runner-Up trophy. We knew prior to the gun going off we would have to compete and they did just that as every place mattered. Congratulations to the Concord Guys! Keaton Smith placed 8th, Jase Herendeen was 10th, FinnHutchinson was 13th, Liam Bauman was 19th, Kadin Shook was 20th, Zane Jason was 23rd, and Brandon Watkins was 35th. Congratulations Guys. Both teams will travel to Addison on Tuesday to compete in the Addison Invitational the first race will be at 4:30 PM. Go Concord!
