Concord Athletic Department

Concord Varsity Volleyball team kicked off their 2026 season at the Battle Creek St. Phil tournament. The team went 4-1 in pool play. They beat Hillsdale 25-15, 25-7. They split with Battle Creek Pennfield 26-24, 25-27, and beat Athens 25-9, 25-20. We played Quincy in the first round of tournament play and lost 25-21, 18-25, 9-15. Leaders for the day were Annie Saenz with 37 kills, 10 blocks, and 4 aces. Bradie Lehman had 21 kills, 39 assists, and 9 aces. Freshmen Ayla Blossom had 7 kills and 2 blocks. Freshmen Layla Claus had 16 assists and 5 aces. Avery Arbuckle had 5 kills and 5 assists. Addi Riske had 5 kills, 2 aces, and 2 assists. Jessica Clouser had 6 blocks, 4 aces, and a kill. Phoebe Byler had 3 aces and made big gains defensively this week. Katie Lack played solid defense and Delaney Colburn had to step up and played great when we had a player injury. We showed a lot of growth all day long and I am so proud of the hard work these girls are putting in. Great start to the season!!! Record: 2-1-1
