Today the Yellowjacket High School Cross Country Teams traveled to Pittsford for their annual Earlybird Invitational. It was hot, but the results were sizzling with that Great Concord Tradition. In the first race of the night, the boys earned the Invitational Championship, edging out Adrian Madison by 5 points. The final scores were Concord 36, Adrian Madison 41, Reading 68, Hillsdale Wil Carleton 82, Waldron 105, Pittsford 110. Leading the way for Concord was Keaton Smith in first place, then came Jase Herendeen in 5th, Kadin Shook in 7th, Liam Bauman in 9th, and Zane Jason in 14th. It was a great start to the 2026 season for the boys from Concord. Now for the girls' race, it was back-to-back Pittsford Earlybird Invitational Championships as the Concord ladies totaled an all-but-perfect score as they had 16 points. In Second place was Adrian Madison with 47; in third was Pittsford with 76; in fourth was Reading at 92; and in fifth place was Waldron with 95. Placing first was Audrey Pyle, and in second was Audrey Rinehart; in third was Haley Stimer, in fourth was Mya Barett, in sixth was Olivia Chadwell, and in 7th was Braelynn Thorrez. Congratulations to all of the Yellowjacket team members. Up next for the cross country teams will be next Wednesday when they compete in the Concord Invitational!
