Congratulations to the Concord Girls Swimming Team who won the 2024-25 IHSAA Sectional Championship Meet on February 8, 2025 at Concord High School. Yoder placed third and Catie Brenneman was sectional champion with a new meet and pool record in 1:49.38! 200 Individual Medley – Emily Blystiv placed sixth, Gia Sponseller finished third, and Brynlee P. Yoder placed second in a state cut time of 2:07.90! 50 Freestyle – Mady Oiler placed fourth and Whitney Sotebeer placed eighth. One Meter Diving – Mya Pressler placed fourth and Maggie Weldy was Sectional Champion! Both qualified for Diving Regional! 100 Butterfly – Xiomara Salinas placed fifth, Avery McDowell placed third, and Mya Ernsberger was Sectional Champion! 100 Freestyle – Catie Brenneman placed second in a state cut time of 50.68! 500 Freestyle – Mya Pressler sixth, Brynlee S. Yoder placed fourth (Janeice accepted her ribbon), and Brynlee P. Yoder was Sectional Champion! 200 Freestyle Relay team of Catie Brenneman, Mady Oiler (not pictured – getting ready for another event), Gia Sponseller and Brynlee S. Yoder placed second with a state cut time of 1:38.50! 100 Backstroke – Emily Blystiv placed sixth, Mady Oiler placed fourth, and Mya Ernsberger placed second with a state cut time of 57.16! 100 Breaststroke – Whitney Sotebeer placed sixth, Gia Sponseller placed third, and Avery McDowell placed second. 400 Freestyle Relay team of Catie Brenneman, Brynlee S.
