By Amanda Carmichael | May 5, 2026 9:56 AM

The home team delivered a strong all-around performance last Thursday, defeating Charlestown by a final score of 8–3 behind dominant pitching and timely hitting. Leading the way on the mound was Jayden Arnold, who turned in an impressive complete outing. Arnold pitched seven innings, striking out eight batters while allowing just three earned runs, keeping Charlestown’s offense in check throughout the game. At the plate, the offense came alive with multiple standout performances. Caleb Hawkins led the charge, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, consistently putting pressure on the defense. Michael Shipley also made a big impact, finishing 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs. Arnold contributed on offense as well, reaching base in all his at-bats with a 2-for-2 performance, adding two walks, one RBI, and a run scored. Martin Campos chipped in with a solid effort, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. The team’s balanced attack and strong pitching proved too much for Charlestown, as they secured the 8–3 victory and continued to build momentum heading into the next matchup.
