It was a busy and largely successful Wednesday for the Chelsea Bulldogs, as the varsity programs combined for a string of dominant performances on the courts, diamonds, and fields. From a cross-county softball sweep to a statement win on the soccer pitch, here is your look at the scores from May 6th. 🎾 Girls Tennis: Chelsea 7, Lincoln 1 The Chelsea girls varsity tennis team continued their impressive run, nearly sweeping Lincoln with a commanding 7-1 victory. The Bulldogs showed depth across both singles and doubles play, keeping their momentum high as they head toward the conference tournament. 🥎 Softball: Chelsea Sweeps Dexter The Bulldogs' bats were on fire as they welcomed rival Dexter for a doubleheader. Chelsea’s offense proved too much for the Dreadnaughts to handle in both contests. Game 1: Chelsea 11, Dexter 7 Game 2: Chelsea 6, Dexter 1 In the opener, Chelsea out-slugged Dexter in a high-scoring affair, while the nightcap saw a stellar defensive and pitching performance to complete the sweep. ⚽ Girls Soccer: Chelsea 4, Jackson 1 The varsity soccer squad turned in one of their most complete performances of the season, taking down Jackson 4-1. The Bulldogs' defense stood firm, allowing only one goal, while the offense found the back of the net four times to secure the home victory. ⚾ Baseball: Chelsea Crushes Adrian It was a scoring clinic at the ballpark as the Chelsea baseball team dismantled Adrian in a doubleheader sweep. The Bulldogs' bats were relentless, putting up double-digit runs in both games to shorten the contests. Game 2: Chelsea 11, Adrian 1 Game 3: Chelsea 11, Adrian 1 The back-to-back 11-1 victories highlighted a dominant day for Chelsea’s pitching staff and a lineup that hit from top to bottom. 🥍 Boys Lacrosse: Huron 11, Chelsea 8 In a hard-fought battle under the lights, the boys varsity lacrosse team fell just short against a tough Ann Arbor Huron squad. Despite a late rally and a physical defensive effort, the Bulldogs couldn't bridge the three-goal gap, ending the night with an 11-8 loss. Go Bulldogs!
