Junior High Cougars Claim Runner-Up Finish in Driving Rain at Jr. NECC Boys Golf Tournament

Angola, IN – May 21, 2025 Despite battling driving rain and soggy conditions, the Central Noble Cougars delivered an impressive performance at the Jr. NECC Boys Golf Tournament on Wednesday, finishing second overall at the challenging Lake James Golf Club in Angola. The Cougars posted a team score of 186, just five strokes behind tournament champions Westview (181), in a field that saw several teams struggle with the wet and windy weather. Central Noble’s players showcased mental toughness and consistency throughout the evening, with all four scoring players finishing within two strokes of one another. Leading the way for Central Noble was Jayden Jordan, who carded a steady 45, navigating the rain-slick greens with confidence. He was followed closely by Connor Dreibelbis, Jackson Williams, and Reece Slone, each finishing with a score of 47. Conner Rush rounded out the Cougar lineup with a 62.
