Central Noble Varsity Cougars Stymied By West Noble By GameChanger Media Central Noble Varsity Cougars couldn't keep up with West Noble and fell 11-3 on Friday at 302 Cougar Court. Central Noble Varsity Cougars got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Landyn Champion singled to center field, and Landen Burkhart grounded out, each scoring one run. West Noble flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to left field by Nicolas Campos that drove in four. West Noble scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. McKale Bottles grounded out, scoring one run, Trevor Martin singled, scoring one run, Champion induced Trey Shisler to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Brooks Ruisard doubled, scoring two runs. Ruisard earned the win for West Noble. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and three runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking four. Champion took the loss for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. The starter went four innings, allowing 10 runs (eight earned) on eight hits, striking out one and walking three. Ryne Keirn, Treyton Fletcher, Corbin Douglas, and Champion each collected one hit for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Champion and Burkhart were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Brody Morgan paced Central Noble Varsity Cougars with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. West Noble tallied 14 hits in the game. Trevor Steele and Ruisard each collected three hits for West Noble. Campos went 2-for-2 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Jordan Eash and Mason Taylor each collected multiple hits for West Noble.
